Child and Adolescent Services Unit

Child and Adolescent Services Unit (CASU) provides short to medium term counselling and support for children and young people aged 5 to 18 years.

CASU is a multi-disciplinary team which specialises in working with children and young people using a range of play and activity-based interventions to address individual needs.

Some of the things that CASU can help children and adolescents with include:

  • parental separation
  • depression
  • anxiety
  • bullying
  • grief and loss
  • improving relationships
  • behavioural problems
  • self esteem

CASU also offers therapeutic groups such as 2 Houses, 2 Homes and Heartbeat.  Groups provide an opportunity for participants to gain an awareness of other children going through a similar experience, which can help alleviate feelings of isolation.

Services are available at our Hobart office. Click here for further information or to download a copy of our CASU brochure.
