Position Summary

The Manager Human Resources will be responsible for providing expert advice, support and coaching to the senior management team regarding workplace health and safety; recruitment and selection initiatives; performance and grievance issues; terms and conditions of workplace agreements; and workforce planning.

The successful candidate will possess the following capabilities:

  • Tertiary level qualifications in Human Resource Management or extensive experience in a senior industrial relations or human resources generalist role
  • Proven ability to provide technical advice and direction in the organisation on matters relating to HR and WHS
  • Demonstrated capacity to influence change and support operational improvement through effective stakeholder engagement
  • High level communication skills including the ability to negotiate industrial agreements and resolve workplace disputes in a timely and effective manner
  • Demonstrated decision making, negotiation and change management skills
  • Current drivers’ licence

Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer, this is a statewide role based in Hobart with one direct report – Human Resources Officer.
