We currently have an exciting opportunity in our Early Intervention Services team based in Launceston and we are seeking a suitably qualified and experienced female practitioner to join the team. An exemption has been granted by the Anti-Discrimination Commissioner (ref 16/10/029) – see

Our innovative men’s behaviour change program, the MENS (Men Engaging New Strategies) Program, works with perpetrators of low to medium family violence to improve the safety of women and children. As a practitioner in this program you will be responsible to provide professional and appropriate individual counselling sessions, group sessions and liaison with partners or ex-partners of those engaged in the program.

To be successful in this role you will have,

  • Degree in Social Work, Psychology or equivalent tertiary qualification and/or an equivalent combination of relevant experience, education and training
  • Demonstrated experience in providing counselling, case management and support services particularly in relation to family violence
  • Knowledge and understanding of family violence support services, or ability to acquire this.
  • Experience working with couples, families or children.
