Help us to enhance the lives of communities, families and individuals and support positive and respectful relationships.

Our innovative men’s behaviour change program, the MENS Program – Men Engaging New Strategies – works with low to medium risk family violence offenders in both an individual and group capacity to improve the safety of family violence victims and their children. You will work alongside a male counterpart to provide counselling and intervention services to support program participants.

We are seeking a suitably qualified and experienced female Counsellor who can demonstrate:

  • Tertiary qualifications in Counselling, Social Work, Psychology or an equivalent qualification recognised for delivery of therapeutic counselling services
  • The ability to engage therapeutically with clients from a broad range of intellectual abilities, motivational levels, health profiles and socio-economic backgrounds
  • Knowledge and understanding of counselling theory and practice, couple and family dynamics and the psychological development of relationships
  • The ability to maintain professional independence whilst also participating in a small multi-disciplinary team
