Relationships Australia Tasmania (RA Tas) is looking for an enthusiastic and experienced Coordinator for our Family Dispute Resolution Services within our Post Separation Services Team The successful applicant will work with management to lead and inspire the team based in New Town.

PSS have a particular role to help families with complex needs. The Coordinator plays a crucial role in achieving our goal of continuous improvement in service delivery within PSS. In addition to direct client work, the Coordinator supports operations, policy and procedural improvements, developments and implementation, and provides leadership on organisational and program priorities. Strong organisational and administrative skills, and relevant client experience will be highly regarded.

To be successful in this role you will have:

  • Demonstrated experience and Degree qualification(s) in one or more of the following areas: social sciences, psychology, social work, family law, family dispute resolution or education
  • In-depth understanding of the impact of family separation and breakdown on children and experience in working to uphold the best interests of children
  • High level knowledge of child development, mandatory reporting, suicide intervention and working with family violence
  • Highly developed interpersonal and communication skills
  • Knowledge and understanding of cultural diversity and an understanding of the needs of indigenous people
  • Ability to work as part of a multi-disciplinary team and support manager to lead the team to achieve strategic objectives
  • High level interpersonal skills and capacity to reflect on own practice, with supervisor, peers and self
